At the Lethbridge Skating Club we recognize the importance of volunteering. We ask families to participate in and help facilitate the delivery of club events to ensure their success.

There are no minimum volunteer requirements for CanSkate or PowerSkate families. However, when you sign up to participate in events, we will ask you to commit to helping out so that we may deliver a successful experience for everyone involved.

StarSkate families are asked to volunteer a minimum of 2 shifts (8 hours total) at our Star Series 4 Competition on February 19-21, 2027, as well as a minimum of 4 hours at another LSC Event (see below for list). This is a per family commitment, not a per skater commitment. If you choose to opt out and not meet your required volunteer hours by the end of our Annual Ice Show on Thursday, March 25, 2027, your Uplifter account will be charged $200. If you do meet the requirements, you will not be charged. 

SynchroSkate and AdultSkate families are asked to volunteer a minimum of 1 shift (4 hours total) at an LSC Event (see below for list). This is a per family commitment, not a per skater commitment. If you choose to opt out and not meet your required volunteer hours by the end of our Annual Ice Show on Thursday, March 25, 2027, your Uplifter account will be charged $100. If you do meet the requirements, you will not be charged. 

Please be sure to note your Club ID # when signing up for volunteer shifts so that we can accurately track your hours. Your Club ID # is typically the last 4 digits of the phone number on your account.

Available events to volunteer at in the 2026-2027 season are:

• Frozen Fest Competition on Saturday, November 28, 2026
• Toys for Tots Show on Thursday, December 3, 2026
• Star Series 4 Competition on the weekend of February 19-21, 2027
• Year-End Ice Show on Thursday, March 25, 2027
